Relationship[]
Fearne Calloway and Imogen Temult are allies. Fearne and Imogen took a liking to each other immediately. They are connected by both being Ruidusborn and share a connection due to the fact.[1] Fearne is often concerned about Imogen regarding her dreams and what the Ruby Vanguard has in store for her.[2] Imogen often compliments Fearne’s appearance and thinks that everyone likes her.[3][4]
History[]
During a game of Rollies, Imogen spoke about her life growing up in Gelvaan, and about her father distancing himself from her due to her abilities. Fearne asked if that was very lonely for Imogen, to which she replied that it had been.[5] When Fearne noticed that Imogen got nervous on the cable-cars, she would often start to shake it and joke that the cable was fraying.[6] Fearne suggested that maybe Imogen was going to change the world, and Laudna said she already has. Fearne agreed, saying that Imogen certainly changed theirs.[7] After Imogen woke up incredibly distressed from a dream, Fearne asked if Imogen was okay and immediately got Laudna up to comfort her.[8] Fearne checked Imogen’s lightning scars to see if they had grown more, and Fearne added that it wasn't like she was staring intently at Imogen or anything. The three of them spoke about Imogen’s dream, and Fearne suggested the idea of making a bracelet for Imogen. Fearne used her ribbon and Laudna her red yarn to make something for Imogen that she could look at in her dreams, that way she would remember that soon she would be back with the Hells. Imogen said she loved the idea.[9]
With the arrival of Dusk, who hit it off very well with Laudna, Fearne began to notice Imogen asking strangely. When Fearne caught Imogen glaring at Dusk as she tried to read their mind, Fearne asked Imogen if she was jealous and offered to link arms with Imogen to get back at Dusk.[10] When the Bells Hells met Fearne’s parents and traveled back with them to where they were staying, Imogen took Fearne aside to talk to her about how she was feeling. Imogen told Fearne that she was allowed to be angry with her parents for leaving her for so long.[11]
Whilst hiding in Imahara Joe’s after Otohan's attack, the group spoke with Imogen about how strong her abilities were. When Chetney suggested that maybe people had been afraid of Imogen’s capabilities in the past, Fearne told Imogen that she wasn’t scared of her.[12] When the group became separated after the Apogee Solstice, Imogen tried to use her dream to check on the other half of the group. After being shunted out of the shared dream, Fearne noticed Imogen was beginning to be lured by what she was seeing and slapped her sleeping body, yelling at her to wake up.[13] Fearne hugged Imogen tightly when the sorceress vented her anxieties about their current situation.[14] When Imogen was cold whilst traveling across the Alps, she asked Fearne to sit on her and she obliged.[15]
When Fearne found out that Imogen and Laudna were dating during their adventure in Whitestone, she told them that she was really happy they were together and it was something she really wanted to happen.[16] After Ashton tried to use the shard for themself and the group went into a truth exercise, Fearne thought Imogen was going to tell her that she was in love with her. Imogen instead told Fearne that she was disappointed in Fearne for not taking the shard and embracing her power.[17] Later, Imogen apologized for saying she was disappointed in her.[18] Upon their arrival on Ruidus, the two of them realized that by being Ruidusborn, they were connected and could give each other boosts if needed.[19] When the group asked how they were going to go about transferring spell slots to each other, Fearne said that she assumed it was through mouth to mouth.[20] On their separate missions, Fearne heard a scream in her head and shouted for Imogen, afraid she was hearing it because they were connected through Ruidus.[21] Later Imogen and Fearne planned out to transfer some power to Imogen and when Imogen held her hands out, Fearne asked if they were about to kiss before hurriedly saying she was kidding.[22]
